University of New Mexico Chemistry Remodel and Upgrades

Remodel of UNM Chemistry Department’s Clark Hall Project to renovate and modernize research and teaching labs. This renovation has provided several challenges including the building type, age, project budget, energy usage requirements, completion time and phasing through continuous occupancy. All the existing HVAC and plumbing was renovated in order to bring this building to optimum performance. Labs were occupied during the remodel process, posing the challenge of protecting on-going projects and experiments while quickly and efficiently completing the construction.
