Welch's History
Thomas Welch formed Welch’s Boiler Service in 1970 after a career as a merchant marine, where he served as a first mate in the boiler rooms of ships. He began by working on smaller-scale boiler projects and build a reputation for providing reliable, top-quality service. In 1985, the company expanded and was incorporated under Tom and his brother Dave Welch. During the following years, Tom and Dave continued building the business and passing along their skills and knowledge to Tom’s two sons, Kenneth and Keith who now run the company. They have continued building and expanding the business by successfully bidding on service contracts for state and local facilities.
